Sources, copyright & translations

At the bottom of each entry’s details, we identify the source agency and applicable licence type and provide the full URL of the English original. Link-only entries are labelled as not reproducing the original text. Applicable government source material is copyright of the Crown or the relevant agency. Our summaries are shortened, arranged and translated; our changes do not represent the source agency’s views. Attribution and links do not imply endorsement.

Unofficial summaries & translations

Summaries and Chinese and Māori translations are prepared for this site and are unofficial translations, do not represent the source agencies’ views and have not been endorsed by them. Māori content has not been reviewed by a fluent speaker. Check the official source and ask the responsible agency if anything is unclear or differs.

Reuse of source material

The text licences relied on by this site do not cover source agencies’ logos, coats of arms, photographs or third-party material; we do not reproduce these materials. Licences apply only to content expressly covered by the source terms, subject to their specific exclusions. One agency’s licence does not cover another agency’s content. The ACC and 20 Hours ECE entries provide names and official links only, without reproducing eligibility or application guidance.
