iKoru, also known as Koru and available at ikoru.nz, helps people in New Zealand find official information about benefits and living, family, housing, health, study and retirement support.

What we do

This site helps you find information. It does not submit applications, determine eligibility, or promise approval or payment amounts. The directory is not exhaustive and questionnaire matches indicate topics only. The responsible agency determines eligibility. Do not make application or financial decisions based solely on this site.

Information & updates

Entry dates record when this site consulted sources, not government review or endorsement, and do not guarantee that rules remain current. This is not a live policy service. Check official eligibility, repayment requirements, availability and deadlines before applying.

How we prepare each entry

We start with the responsible New Zealand government agency’s English source, record the date checked, and organise each entry into its purpose, points to verify and official next step. Entries distinguish payments, grants, loans, services, automatic payments and link-only references. We do not calculate eligibility, amounts or approval outcomes ourselves.

Corrections and review

If an official rule changes or a summary is inaccurate, use the contact page with the entry name, exact text and an official evidence link. We will check the source and update the summary when needed; the responsible agency remains responsible for eligibility and case decisions.
