Overview

Recognises extra ongoing care for a child with a serious disability; distinct from Disability Allowance for costs.

Eligibility points to check

Child must be under 18 and assessed as needing constant care for at least 12 months. Check main-carer status, residency and other payments. Not income- or asset-tested.

Complete the official form and have the child’s health practitioner complete the medical certificate.
